Our All-Natural & Organic Muscle Balm was formulated specifically for dealing with the aches, pains and injuries that come with training in any martial art, sport, or physical endeavor. It's great for relieving sore muscles, joint aches, and bruises.
It contains 3 heavy hitters when it comes to the long lineage of plant-based medicine. Arnica, Comfrey, & Yarrow.
Arnica: Many people are familiar with Arnica these days as you can find some version of it in most drugstores in the form of pain and bruising products.
Comfrey: Known historically as knitbone, it has traditionally been used topically to ‘heal fractures, sprains, muscle tears, bruises, [and] joint injuries’ (Kuhn & Winston, 2008). While this plant has some controversy as to its safety when taken internally, when used externally it quickly and beautifully demonstrates the power of plant medicine.
Yarrow: Yarrow is an overachiever. It grows tenaciously and abundantly in the wild. Yarrow has been long used both internally and externally for an extensive list of different ailments. While our Muscle Balm is not indicated for use internally or on open wounds (due to the inclusion of Comfrey), it has been included in the formula due to its anti-inflammatory properties, specifically for nerve pain and muscle pain.
